Once the patient has been Engaged as an active participant in their treatment, and they have Engulfed themselves in supportive therapies to supplement their medication, it is time for them to EMERGE.

This step encourages the patient to personally grow beyond the life that they once new.  The patient is encouraged to make community connections and to look at opportunities for personal growth.  This could include obtaining a job, obtaining an education or obtaining financial independence.
